Summer Recipes

We’re all punched out and ready for the weekend. Its finally getting really warm (105 degrees out in Southern California today), so if you’re in the need for something simple, refreshing and quick, we’ve got a couple perfect warm weather cocktails.

I absolutely love ginger beer, and go out of my way to find a reason to drink it. Crabbie’s Alcholic Ginger Beer is a favorite, but its a bit sweet and doesn’t pack the punch a cocktail would.

So here is the first recipe:

The Moscow Mule

  • 1 1/2 oz AnestasiA Vodka
  • 3 Oz Ginger Beer
  • 3 lime wedges

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add AnestasiA Vodka and the juice from three lime wedges. Shake well and strain into a copper mug filled with crushed ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.

We all love mozzerella, fresh basil, cherry tomatoes and balsamic, but we also love Bloody Mary’s, so why not combine them?

Caprese Bloody Mary

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of roasted tomatoes (a couple of more for garnish)
  • 2 teaspoons of horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon of hot sauce
  • 3 ounces of AnestasiA Vodka
  • 7.5 ounces of V8 Juice
  • 8 basil leaves (a couple more for garnish)
  • 2 cup of ice
  • Small mozzarella balls  and balsamic glaze for garnish

Instructions:

In a blender combine all ingredients except the ice and garnishes

Blend mixture until all ingredients have been combined

Fill two glasses completely with ice and pour mixture over ice

Garnish: Put roasted tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella cheese on skewers-squeeze balsamic glaze over glasses

Yields: 2 servings

Lastly something to honor the importance of the fresh lemon with the extra kick of liqueur.

Lip Licking Martini

  • 1 ½ oz. AnestasiA Vodka
  • ½ oz. orange liqueur
  • ¾ oz. freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • Twisted lemon peel for garnish

Add AnestasiA Vodka, orange liqueur and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake and serve in a chilled
sugar rimmed glass, garnished with a lemon peel.
